Tara Océans,
an oceanographic expedition
On 4th September 2009, a great scientific exploration mission was launched on Tara. The Tara Océans expedition follows on from Tara Arctic, which had completed a scientific study of the impact of global warming on the Arctic ice fields. This new expedition will focus on oceans. The three-year human and scientific adventure will explore the world’s oceans, veritable “carbon sinks” for our living planet. [text in french]
